WITHIN THE SPACE OF FILIPPA FUXE

During our visit to the home of fashion designer Filippa Fuxe and her partner, classical music composer Jacob Mühlrad, Filippa shared her design philosophy—one that seamlessly bridges fashion and interiors. For her, balance and friction, particularly in silhouette, are key, with texture taking precedence over color. She believes in the power of a single, beautiful line to define an entire space or look.

Filippa’s eye is naturally drawn to details, especially functional ones. Just as zippers, buttons, and closures in garments serve both purpose and aesthetics, she found a similar harmony in our handles. To her, working with them became an act of composition—an exploration of proportion, shape, and repetition.

In their home, these handles are more than mere hardware; they create a foundation. As objects touched daily—opening, closing, passing through—they introduce a subtle, ritualistic presence that shapes the experience of the space.
